Transport damage with UPS or DPD? What helps.
Nothing is more annoying than breakage during transport - for both the seller and the customer. Because now you need paperwork for compensation from the logistics company. The annoying thing is that their responses are usually automated. With the new framework agreement with lawyer Nadine Liesching, wein.plus now offers its Business Premium members the opportunity to respond emphatically to the rejection. Exclusively and free of charge for wein.plus Business Premium members.

In the event of breakage or damage during transport, logistics companies such as UPS or DPD often respond with an automated response to claims for compensation. This regularly causes frustration and a lot of paperwork. But this annoyance can be avoided.

Through our framework agreement with lawyer Nadine Liesching, we offer Business Premium members the option of having her send a response. This means that UPS or DPD will actually examine your request - without an automated response. If the claim for damages is nevertheless rejected, Nadine Liesching offers to take on the case at a reduced rate.

Who is Nadine Liesching?

Nadine Liesching Nadine Liesching

Nadine Liesching from HWLP Munich advises wineries and companies from all sectors on trade mark law, design law and copyright law. With her passion for wines, she has attended various courses at the WSET® and DWI and also specialises in wine labelling law (correct labelling of ingredient lists and nutritional information, dealcoholised wines, protection and use of brand names, ggA and more).

Ms Liesching is also your contact in cases of damage. Contact her if wine bottles have been damaged by DPD or UPS when shipping boxes to your customers.

How our framework agreement helps you in the event of damage

Has damage occurred during the transport of your wine bottles or wine cartons despite the safe choice of packaging and insurance of the parcel?

  1. DPD or UPS reject the driver's responsibility and refuse to pay compensation in accordance with their general terms and conditions and/or packaging guidelines?
  2. Use the following form for Premium members to contact us free of charge and without obligation and briefly describe the facts of the case.
  3. Nadine Liesching will contact you and ask you to send the letter of refusal and, if necessary, further information.
  4. The lawyer will check the facts of the case for you free of charge and send a standardised initial letter to DPD or UPS.
  5. If a further rejection of the claim is received, she will make you an offer to continue handling your case. As a Premium member of wein.plus, this offer is also often a fixed price for you that is significantly lower than the fees normally incurred.
  6. You decide freely and without obligation whether you want to accept the offer. Only then will you incur costs, which Attorney Liesching will calculate and agree with you depending on the scope and effort involved.
